September 2018 – Profs. Adamczyk, Zinn and Gruben receive NSF National Robotics Initiative grant for high-powered haptic rehabilitation robotics

Prof. Adamczyk received a National Science Foundation National Robotics Initiative 2.0 grant with Prof. Mike Zinn (REACH Lab) and Prof. Kreg Gruben (NCL) to develop high-powered hybrid actuators and control systems to use them for haptic rendering in rehabilitation. The project will culminate in a haptic lower-limb rehabilitation robot to render force fields during leg-reaching tasks.
