September 2018 – Adamczyk and Thelen receive NIH STTR for Wearable Tendon Tensiometry

Prof. Adamczyk received an NIH STTR Phase I grant to develop a wearable system for measuring the tension in superficial tendons non-invasively during movement. The system will be developed in collaboration with Prof. Darryl Thelen and the UW NMBL and industrial design firm Design Concepts, Inc., building on BADGER Lab expertise in wearable sensors and the original tendon tensiometry concept developed in Prof. Thelen’s group.
