Sofya is a member of the BADGER Lab, where she works alongside Kieran Nichols and Rebecca Roembke on the development of the Two-Axis aDaptable Ankle (TADA). Her primary focus is on creating the software architecture for TADA and assisting with electrical hardware designs.
Sofya has a diverse background in engineering, with prior experience in researching polymers and 3D printing techniques. She has also worked as an engineer intern in the medical, military, and aerospace industries. Her previous work includes implementing AI for military trucks, designing eye-tracking products to detect alertness in commercial pilots, and enhancing the sterilization component of radioisotope-producing machines.
In her free time, Sofya loves hosting board game parties and going to the gym.
